Hi I'm Margarita
Info
As a designer with 10 years of experience, my practice is centered around helping organizations and individuals have better access to available services and products. I love highlighting available resources and helping people access them through experiences centered on connection, openness and ease. I particularly specialize in helping small organizations establish strong design foundations, particularly in the early stages, and in crafting simple, scalable solutions for complex digital platforms.
I currently work at Eulerity, where I help franchisors and franchisees unify their marketing workflows and strengthen customer relationships through an integrated web platform and mobile app. I’ve loved being part of an in-house team where I can build lasting relationships, understand audiences in depth, and drive innovation over the long term.
As a design leader, I focus on cultivating an environment where both the designs and the people behind them can thrive. I prioritize collaboration and fostering an atmosphere where exploration and growth are encouraged.
My work spans industries like enterprise tools, climate tech, and e-commerce, always focusing on how to get people better access the services, products, spaces, or resources potentially available to them.
A bit about me…
In addition to this work, a few tidbits about me…
My Background
I was born in the Midwest but raised back and forth between there and East Asia (the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan specifically).
My Education
I started my graduate program remotely during the COVID pandemic and graduated from SVA’s Products of Design program (HCI) in 2022.
My Favorite Project
My graduate thesis, "Weighted: Designing Towards Fat Liberation" was an exploration of product, experience, and service design offerings created to reduce the isolation found in social spaces as a result of anti-fat bias. Part of this work, "Flex", a study on redesigning our airplane seats to create a size-inclusive flight experience, was recently featured as part of the Museum für Gestaltung Zurich's exhibit Design for All? Diversity as the Norm (2024). The project was also featured in the accompanying book.
My Current Venture
I am also the co-founder of a small business called HONORARY KIN that aims to make the journaling process easier through accessible tools and community building.
Career
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with small businesses across industries—from enterprise tools to consumer packaged goods. Here's a quick overview of my experience:
