Philosophy

My leadership focuses on investing in people—motivating and supporting each person by aligning their personal goals with business objectives. Thriving team members are a result of supportive environments, clear expectations and confident autonomous execution alongside consistent feedback, continuous learning and collaboration.

Methods

Team Leadership and Growth

I manage, mentor, and coach design teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. I focus on investing in talent to build high-performing, empowered teams through leading by example to empower designers to take ownership and excel.

Process & Quality Leadership

I lead desiqn quality evaluation through design reviews, iterative feedback loops, and data-driven validation to continuously improve product experiences and help upskill my team in addition to establishing and optimizing design systems, workflows, and tools for scalable design operations. In addition, I manage quality assurance efforts to maintain high standards of design rigor and continuously streamline processes to improve efficiency and execution speed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

I partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to align priorities to drive product success by facilitating smooth delivery and roadmap planning. Open communication and shared vision are key to simplifying objectives and removing blockers to accelerate execution speed.

Driving Design Strategy and Execution

As a player-coach with experience launching user research initiatives at smaller companies, I define and advocate for user-centered initiatives and design strategy to contribute to an organization's vision. Not only do I lead the intiatives, but I also execute via hands-on product design from wireframes and prototypes to final UI delivery.

Influencing Product and Business Outcomes

I drive product direction and business strategy through strategic design leadership in collaboration with Product and Leadership while championing design excellence and innovation across teams and projects through user research and data insights to identify opportunities and solve real user problems.

Recruitment and Hiring

I build my team with the intention to be collaborative, goal-oriented, self-driven, and detail-oriented. Building the right foundation comes from identifying and attracting kindhearted people with diverse perspectives and experiences to strengthen team resilience, trust, creativity, and long-term success.
